Are you a forward-thinking GP looking for a real challenge working within a progressive, pro-active and forward-thinking practice? 

Litchdon Medical Centre is an eight Partner Practice serving a population of 15,750 in beautiful North Devon. As part of our ongoing growth and Quality of Working Life initiative, we are seeking to enhance and develop our Practice by the appointment of an exceptional GP.

With lots of variety, this newly created position will provide you with the chance to develop your own skills as well as contributing to the development of the Practice.

We are a stable, democratic, friendly and progressive Practice working from excellent purpose-built premises. Training GP Registrars and Medical Students along with extended nursing roles and Clinical Research is a strong feature of the Practice. Specialist services we offer include our highly acclaimed Dermatology Secondary Care Clinic, serving North Devon and beyond, which we successfully operate on behalf of North Devon District Hospital.

Our surgery is fully computerised (SystmOne) and is ‘paperlight’ with strong, supportive IT, Practice and Business Management.  Our highly skilled Primary Health Care Team offer extended chronic disease management skills, triage with innovative, specialist nurse-led ‘same day’ clinics running alongside routine GP consultations, soon to be introduced. Our priorities are dedication to the delivery of high quality patient care with a dynamic, forward thinking ethos.

North Devon is a beautiful, unspoilt area of the country where you can combine your career with a high quality lifestyle. You can enjoy unspoilt countryside, quaint villages, beautiful sandy beaches with some outstanding surfing fun, excellent golf courses combined with easy access to the larger cities of Exeter and Bristol to enjoy some city culture.  Local house prices offer very good value for money and there is a range of excellent schools in the area, both state and private.
